New measures: The closing hours of hotels and shops are extended

The President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig, along with the Regional Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, have just appeared to report on the new decisions taken at the meeting of the Interdepartmental Table, in order to soften the restrictions to prevent the spread of the virus.

The head of the Consell has indicated that in view of the good results of the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic, in which the incidence of the Community, "is six times lower than the average for Spain, since it stands at 40 cases per every 100.000 inhabitants, and it is the only Community in Spain placed in the low risk line ". Ximo Puig has insisted that there is "to continue being prudent."

New measures

These measures will come into effect on Monday, April 26 and will last until May 9, the day on which the end of the State of Alarm is determined and the day on which the perimeter closure will decline, according to Puig. Until then, it is still prohibited to enter and leave the Valencian Community without just cause.

La New measures announced by the president of the Generalitat are the following:

- The closing hours in bars and shops until curfew, 22 hours. The capacity is maintained as before, 100% on terraces and 30% indoors and the maximum per table is kept at six people.

- In the ceremonies and banquet halls the capacity is increased to 50%, with no limit of people.

- The cultural activities such as cinemas, theaters, museums or auditoriums increase their capacity to 75%.

Capacity expansion

In addition to the increase in the maximum capacity in ceremonies and celebrations, religious or civil, the maximum capacity in common areas of hotels, hostels, rural houses and other accommodations also goes from 30 to 50%; educational leisure activities, leisure time education, youth animation schools; and pools, beaches, and spas.

As for sports activities and events with the public (except training sessions that are held without public), the maximum number of attendees will be 1.000 people in open facilities and 500 in closed ones; and the participation of athletes will be 1.000 in open facilities and 300 in closed facilities.

There is an increase in the maximum capacity from 50 to 75% in congress halls, conference rooms or multipurpose rooms; cinemas, drive-ins, summer cinemas, theaters, amphitheaters, auditoriums, performing arts salar and circuses; libraries, archives, museums, exhibition halls, art galleries and other cultural facilities.

Likewise, the maximum capacity will be 75% in regulated artistic teachings in conservatories and authorized centers; not regulated in music or dance schools and training activities of musical groups in general; academies, driving schools and other non-regulated training centers; commercial and professional service establishments and premises; and non-sedentary sales markets.

As for guided visits, tour guides, leisure time activities, playgrounds and the practice of physical activity, both individually and directed by a professional, it can be produced in groups of 20 people in open areas and 10 in closed areas.

In the case of leisure venues, they may exercise, if their license permits, catering and hospitality activities under the same conditions that regulate leisure and hospitality activities.

Restrictions that remain

- The curfew It is still between 22 pm and 6 am, although Puig has stated that there is likely to be a modification of the curfew within two weeks, when the Interdepartmental Table will meet again in the first days of May.

- The prohibition of popular celebrations, parades or traveling shows is maintained.

- The events allowed and that may involve an agglomeration of people will be held with a maximum capacity of 75% and a maximum of 500 people indoors and 1.000 outdoors. Four sectors can be established with bathroom services, entrance and exit, and differentiated hospitality with 500 people per sector. In addition, the distance between seats will be 1,5 meters, and the entrances and exits will be staggered.

- No food or drinks (except water) are allowed outside the restaurant area, and you cannot smoke or use electronic inhalation devices or the like.

As for the return to normality, the head of the Consell has insisted that it will depend on the vaccination and the maintenance of the restrictions.
