Nara Rodríguez Sapena has been elected, on the afternoon of this Saturday, queen of Les Fogueres de Sant Joan de Xàbia 2021. The appointment took place at the end of the act of election of festive positions held at the Palau d'Esports Miguel Buigues Andrés.
The regina of 2020, Marta Ortuño, has been in charge of announcing the name of the queen of 2021. Nara Rodríguez will be the highest representative of the Quintà 2021, 'The disaster' being the most voted by its fifths.
The vote was carried out this morning during the rehearsal ceremony. Nara will be accompanied by Andrea Ortuño, elected first maid of honor and Aroa Sánchez, second maid of honor.
Continuing with the election of positions, the presidents of the Quintà 2021 they were Jorge Serra and María Liehr.
The event, organized by the Department of Festivities and the Commission of Fogueres de Sant Joan, was attended by the Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, the councilor for Fiestas, Kika Mata, as well as municipal political representatives, family and friends of the fifths of 2021.
After the presentation of the fifths and fifths, a fashion show was held by the young xabiero designer, Rubén Bisquert, with the collaboration of the hairdresser Charlie & O and the makeup artist, María Sobrino.
La mayor of Fiestas, Kika Mata, in her parliament, stressed that Les Fogueres of 2022 will be unforgettable. Despite joining three Quintaes, "Each one will have its leading role. We are not going to leave anyone behind."
For his part, the mayor of Xàbia has outlined that "we must feel proud of the young people of our town." Chulvi has indicated that this year's election act is special, "normally the positions that are dismissed give the relief to the following, but this year, it is something symbolic because they will live together these special Fogueres festivals."
As every year, this event has a solidarity aspect and on this occasion, part of the proceeds from ticket sales went to Cáritas Parroquial.
