The department Servicios Sociales of the Javea Town Hall It has recently been decentralized. A new basic care area has been created in the Arenal neighborhood, located in the building called Punt Cívic.
A social worker, a social educator and an administrative assistant already provide their services. This team is complemented by the Housing Office, which is also based in this space.
Councilwoman Social Services, Rita Berruti, explained that the new territorial organization of Valencian social services enables decentralization and in this way basic primary care in social matters can be brought closer to the neighbours.
Taking into account the circumstances of Arenal, it has been decided to start with this neighborhood to provide its residents with access to information, queries or procedures related to social services (such as dependency applications, large families, emergency aid, Valencian Income, vulnerability reports , information on obtaining a disability certificate, non-contributory pensions, etc…).
Residents will be attended to at the Cívic Punt offices, located on Cabo La Nao-Pla road nº 122, on the corner of Saint Tropez street. There, in addition, the usual activities of social revitalization will continue to be carried out, from Spanish classes for foreigners, self-help groups for women, recreational activities for children or school review classes, among others.
Now it is necessary to fix the flooding, put light in all the streets, clean all the streets, close the two brothels that are in Jávea Park, build a Health Center, an institute and a library, remove the garbage container from the area of children's games and fix this so that they can practice various sports in it, etc, etc. Why is it that for what is necessary there are always excuses?
