Crowd 'XI Cursa de la Dona' in Xàbia

As planned, around the 10 hours, the XI edition of the Cursa de la Dona de Xàbia has started. A blue tide filled the athletics track of the town towards the port of Xàbia. In the first place, the runners left and later, the walkers, for both to realize the 5 km of route. A non-comxicotetive course held on the occasion of the Women's Day.

Without a doubt, this edition has been an absolute success. More than 1000 registered people who have made the Amunt Associations against cancer and Autism Jávea raised a significant amount. 2375 euros each has been the contribution that the organization has allocated to each of the groups.

The Athletics Club Llebeig de Xàbia is responsible for carrying out this course with the collaboration of the Javea Town Hall. Also, in the delivery of the prizes the councilor of Equality was present, Montse Villaverde, Madelane Powell representative of the Athletics Club Llebeig Xàbia, the Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi and the Councilor for Sports, Vicent Colomer.

After the arrival of all the participants to the finish line, the trophies were awarded to women over 50 who have arrived in the first three positions, to the three seniors, as well as to the oldest woman registered and the younger. Also, dozens of participants have won the raffled prizes thanks to the contribution of local businesses.

Both before the start of the Cursa and after there has been a Zumba class to encourage all the participants. Musicians of the Center Artístic Musical have animated during all the route.
