El Cape San Antonio o Cap de Sant Antoni in Valencian, it is the place where the Montgo it submerges, falling into the sea on cliffs of more than 150 meters. There a viewpoint is strategically located, from which you can see the bay of Xàbia, other coastal geographical features, and peaks and valleys of the regions of Marina Alta and Marina Baixa.

Where is it and how to get there
From Jávea, take the Xàbia-Dénia road (CV-736) and turn right onto the Cap de Sant Antoni road (CV-7362). A little before reaching the end of the cape, where the lighthouse is located, we find the viewpoint on the right hand side. Here's a map.
What to see
El Cap Prim o Cap de Sant Martí, the island of Portitxol, the bay of Jávea, the Puig de la Llorença, the Peñón de Ifach in Calpe, the Serra d'Oltà, the Serra de Bèrnia, the Puig Campana, the Coll de Rates, the Carrascar de Parcent and for of course, the Montgó.

This is an exceptional place for lovers of photography and to enjoy wonderful views. Very close to the viewpoint, part of the hiking route that goes down to Port de Xàbia, an affordable and short itinerary.
The lime kiln
Right next to the lookout there is a lime kiln made of stone, which probably dates from the XNUMXth century. Lime has been used until relatively recently (mid-twentieth century), as a construction material and to paint and disinfect walls. The interior of the kiln was filled with wood, and limestone was burned until it turned into calcium oxide, known as quicklime. He calcine he watched this process day and night to keep the fire going.
Currently in Xàbia there are only four of these ovens left, out of a total of 54 that had been registered in the last century.
