This morning, the Javea Town Hall has summoned a minute of silence as a sign of condemnation after the last case of gender violence that has cost the life of a woman of 57 years in the town of Calpe. The Councilor for Equality, Montse Villaverde, has read a statement of rejection for the death of Rita.
With the death of this woman, 34 is already the victims who died in Spain due to gender violence in the seven months of 2019 and the 1041 since it began to be counted in 2003.
The Consistory has highlighted its commitment to equality and its frontal rejection of any type of violence against women.
