At 12 noon on Friday, dozens of people gathered at the gates of the Javea Town Hall to observe a minute of silence in rejection of gender violence.
On the one hand, the minute of silence was in support and solidarity with the family of the girls from Tenerife, Anna and Olivia, after the discovery of the lifeless body of the oldest of the sisters, only 6 years old. And on the other, in memory of Rocío Caíz, a young woman from Seville, who at 17 and the mother of a 4-month-old baby, has become the 18th victim of gender violence in 2021.
