Gold and silver medals for the Leclercq SUP Team in the 'III Regatta of the Mediterranean Circuit of SUP Race'

This past weekend was held in Águilas (Murcia), the III Regatta of the Mediterranean Circuit of SUP Race in which the local team of Leclercq SUP Team participated. The rider of this Marina Alta team competed in the elite 14 Elite category and in the Amateur category.

In a race course with permanent sideways wind and with some chopi (waves with no definite direction generally produced by the wind and / or bouncing off the coast of the sea in the background) the rider of Leclercq SUP Team faced a regatta of long distance, 14 and 6 kilometers for Elite and Amateur respectively, with satisfactory results for the athletes trained by Telmo Irigoyen.

Cristina Lopez de San Román was ranked fourth in the female general Elite 14 (category by maximum table size) with a time of 01: 41: 07 and silver in Master Elite (category by age). Andy Burrows completed the 6 km with a time of 0: 35: 35 and took the top of the podium in Amateur and Kahuna Amateur, bringing the gold of these categories to the Marina Alta.
