Mavi Pérez will be the candidate for mayor of Ciudadanos for Jávea

February 27 from 2023 - 07: 53

Last Friday, February 24, Ciudadanos por Jávea (CpJ) chose as a candidate to lead the list of the independent party in the May elections Mavi Pérez Font. Pérez, takes over from Juan Ortolá and will be in charge of leading the Ciudadanos por Jávea project, fully committing to the party and working to improve the lives of citizens.

CpJ celebrates this legislature 23 years in the politics of Xàbia, being the only independent party that continues to maintain the confidence of the javiense society legislature after legislature.

"The strength of CpJ is the group, here we do not submit to ideological dictates nor are there personalities"

After being chosen by her fellow party members, Mavi Pérez, was very excited and grateful for the trust placed in her: "100 days full of moments together await us, where we will share ideas, projects, enthusiasm and work to make this project a reality that today begins. I hope to respond to that trust that you have all placed in me and, for this, I acquire from today the firm commitment to dedicate all my enthusiasm and work capacity to achieve, from empathy, a better Xàbia, valuing integration, inclusion, tolerance and civic participation. My goal is Xàbia, our people, those of us who have been lucky enough to be born here and all those who have decided to make Xàbia their town”.

In her first words as a candidate, Mavi also promised to "lead an exciting and inclusive project for all the residents of Xàbia, acting from closeness, focusing on the people, without personalism and, without having to submit to the ideological dictates of the big political formations. Because the great force of citizens for Jávea is the great group that we form”.

Mavi Pérez: an early childhood education teacher closely linked to cultural associations and the Xàbia festivals

The CpJ candidate is a kindergarten teacher and has been working since 2006 in her own kindergarten in Xàbia. Pérez is a woman closely linked to the cultural and festive associations of Xàbia. She is a member and vocal of the Grup de Danses del Portitxol and a member of the Colla Portitxol. In addition, she is also linked to Moros i Cristians, being a member of a filà and, in 2016, she was President of the Sant Joan Fogueres Commission.

Now Mavi Pérez, a CpJ militant since 2018, takes on a new challenge. She will stand for the next elections leading Ciudadanos por Jávea, with the commitment to work from "transparency, humility and sense
common".
