The Professional Music Conservatory of Xàbia began the new academic year on September 16, once again surpassing the figure of 200 enrolled students. For the first time in many years, the center has equaled the number of students in both elementary and professional education, which indicates that a large part of the students, after completing elementary studies, continue their musical training at a professional level at the conservatory itself.
This achievement is the result of a family-friendly and welcoming environment that creates a conducive atmosphere for learning, making students feel at home and motivating them to continue with their studies. The Xàbia Conservatory stands out for its ability to integrate music into the academic life of students, thanks to excellent time coordination with the Antoni Llidó secondary schools, IES La Mar and the IES Vicente Caselles de Gata.
This collaboration facilitates the conciliation of academic and musical studies, allowing students to take advantage of the validated hours of music and elective subjects to attend conservatory classes in the morning, thus freeing up the afternoons from so many subjects. The Conservatory would especially like to thank the management teams of the three secondary schools for their great effort in making this coordination possible, a key element for the academic and musical success of the students.
In addition, the Xàbia Conservatory invites all boys and girls who are currently in 2nd grade of primary school to participate in the classes Xiquixorda, a program designed to introduce them to the world of music in a fun and playful way.
Children will have the opportunity to learn by playing with string instruments and doing other musical activities. Trial classes are held on Wednesdays at 16:30 pm at the Conservatory, where all interested parties are invited to participate.
