Extraordinary was the performance of the young xabiera, María Devesa, Llebeig Athletics Club Xàbia, in the Autonomous Cross Country Championship held last weekend in Castellón. Devesa conquered the bronze medal in her Sub 12 category where she was third behind the winner, Naia Portolés, from the Diputación College, who won with a time of 3.14.
The second place went to Carmen García, of the Diputación College, with a record of 3.14 and María Devesa entered with a 3.18 mark.
We must also highlight the young woman from Xàbia, Edurne Mata, who stayed very close to the podium; finishing in fourth place in the Sub 10 category. The winner was Blanca García with a time of 3.44. The second place went to Estrella Harpoon with 3:50, the third place went to Adriana González with 3.53 and Edurne Mata's time was 3.57, that is, she stayed 4 seconds off the podium.
In the Sub 10 category, Pablo Sapena finished in 16th place with a time of 5.38. In the men's Under 14 category, Marco García finished in position 8, with a mark of 10.48, while Iván Gómez was 19 with 11.22. In women, the best was Celia Fornés in 24th place with 8.42. Lara Crespo finished in 33 with 8.49, Ainara Sapena He finished in 68th place with a time of 9.52 and Anaia Collinson did it in 73rd place with a 10.11 mark.
In the Sub 16 category, Carlos González finished in 41st place with a time of 15.38 and Moisés Cardona finished in 76th place with a mark of 20.17. In this same category but in women, Natalia Moscardó finished in 81st place with a time of 10.55.
Seventh place for teams in women U18
The U18 women's team finished in seventh place being the best classified, Ana González who was 8th with a mark of 11.52. Zoe Grimalt finished 23rd with a time of 12.32. Nerea Mata It was 31 with 12.56. Nadia Crespo was 33 with 13.05 and Rosa Sánchez was 37 with 13.39.
Finally, in the men's Under 23 category, Vicente Soldevila finished the test with a time of 43.09 and ranked 32.
