Like every December 13, Xàbia celebrates one of its most traditional festivals, that of Santa Lucía. On Thursday, on the occasion of this celebration, the mayorales and mayoralesas, at 10 am, will begin the pilgrimage up to the hermitage of Santa Llúcia from the Plaza de la Iglesia.
Once up, at 11 hours, there will be a mass and then the procession with the virgin will take place around the hermitage. At the end, chocolate and sweets will be distributed to the attendees.
As a prelude to this festivity and call to the party, on the afternoon of Wednesday, at the 19: 30 hours, there will be a parade with music of charanga through the streets of the historic center where coca maría and mistela will be offered and an bouquet in the image of Santa Llúcia that is on the street dedicated to the saint.
