La XIII Volta Popular to El Verger counted on the triumphs in women of Mª Isabel Ferrer and in men of Jesús Gomar. The test was marked by a continuous rain that caused that in the line of exit there were many absences.
Hardly, a participation close to the 500 runners, among which many women were missed, this time, feared the rain and preferred to stay safe.
The duo formed by Jesús Gomar and Nizar Lakhlifi, both belonging to the Club Safor Delikia, were the dominators of the event. The best finish of the Gandiense avoided the victory of the Xabiero athlete, Nizar Lakhlifi. Gomar entered the finish line with a time of 31: 56, while Nizar made a mark of 32: 59. The third to cross under the finish line was another athlete xabiero, Youssef Ahatach, Dénia Run with a record of 33: 44.
In women, again, she was the athlete of Llebeig Athletics Club Xàbia, Mª Isabel Ferrer, the winner with a time of 37: 39. The second to cross the finish line was the xabiera, Cristina Roselló, of the Publidom Athletics Club, with a mark of 40: 04. The third to arrive was Gemma Selby, of the El Faro Athletics Club, with a time of 41: 41.
After having held four tests of the 'XXIII Circuit a Peu Marina Alta', the athlete from Dénia Corre, Youssef Ahatach and Mª Isabel Ferrer, from the Llebeig Xàbia Athletics Club are the ones who lead the test.
The next race will take place in Dénia with the start to the queen test at 18 hours. Previously, careers will be held for children.
