Mª Isabel Ferrer, Nizar Lakhlifi and Mark Tanner winners in the 'Mitja Marathon of Gandía'

Once again, xabiero athletics proved to be among the best in the entire Valencian Community. Three of his athletes: Mª Isabel Ferrer, Nizar Lakhlifi y Mark Tanner They triumphed in Gandia. Ferrer, of Llebeig Athletics Club Xàbia, was the female winner in the current edition of the 'Mitja Marathon of Gandía'. In that same distance, Nizar Lakhilifi, from CA Safor Taika, was third and Mark Tunner, from Hurricane Triathlon Club The Bike Run, was second in the 10 km race.

In the test of the 10 km, the British triathlete settled for many years in Xàbia, Tanner proved to be in a great moment of form and maintained a beautiful duel with the Albacete, Arturo Quijada, which lasted until the final sprint where Quijada was more fast, so he was proclaimed winner with a time of 32.20. Tunner entered the finish line
two seconds later and third place went to Mohamend Houd who made a mark of 32.29.

In men, another of the great highlights was Nizar Lakhlifi, an athlete based in Xàbia who defends the colors of the Safor Taika Athletics Club. This athlete, who last season competed in triathlon tests, again demonstrated the enormous potential he has. He entered the finish line in third place with a mark of 1.12: 24, could not keep up the devilish rhythm of the two main protagonists of the race, Hassane Haouchar, winner with a time of 1: 08: 26, nor of the second classified, Jaquad Oumellal , which ended in a time of 1: 09: 58.
