09 June 2021 - 09: 41

The patron saint festivities are reinvented, and the smallest of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell have a lot to say in their programming. After the request of the members of the Consell de la Infància i l'Adolescència, who in the last session of May asked to participate in a more active way in the design of the programming of the festive events; yesterday Monday they met with the Councilor for Education and Children, Jorge Pascual, and the Councilor for Holidays, Mayte Roldán.

At the meeting, the boys and girls had the opportunity to make proposals and express their tastes in terms of leisure. And likewise, the mayor of Fiestas He put on the table various proposals for activities and attractions so that they could give their opinions and choose the ones they liked the most.

One of the proposals of the Department of Parties that most triumphed among the attendees was that of an 'escape room' (escape game) that is played inside a bus conditioned for this purpose. In this game, players have to use the items they find inside the bus to solve a series of puzzles and escape before time runs out. Other proposals that excited them were the 'paintball', a video game championship and a foam party (the latter will be subject to current Covid-19 regulations).

For their part, the boys and girls proposed holding 'carretons', traditional games or pin pon or 'raspall' championships. Also a ride with horses, a Ferris wheel or a robotics workshop.

The intention is that most of these activities are reflected in the programming of the festivities in honor of Santa María Magdalena, which will be held from July 21 to 25. The entire calendar of festive events will be released soon.

Local Plan for Childhood and Adolescence

The Councilor for Children also took the opportunity to present the new promotional video on the Local Plan for Childhood and Adolescence of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell (PLIA), which aims to publicize this instrument that establishes the main lines of action for the effective development of all children's rights.

The PLIA marks the actions by strategic lines of action that have to be carried out in a period of 4 years (until 2024). The main objective is to meet the needs and realities of the local child and adolescent population. The educational video can be seen in the following link.
