At the end of the Open Air comxicotetions, the young athletes of the Llebeig Athletics Club of Xàbia are showing all their potential. Those from Xàbia are occupying the top positions in each of the championships they attend.
This past weekend, the joy began with Laura Crespo on the second day of the Sub16 Provincial Championship that took place in Torrevieja. Laura was proclaimed runner-up in 1500 hurdles by stopping the clock at 7: 02.14, her personal best. For its part, Ainara Sapena she was third in the same comxicotetion, entering the finish line seconds after Laura, in 7: 19.80, also breaking her personal best. In javelin throw, Laura was ranked 10th and Ainara 8th.
On the other hand, Pau Moncho was 4th in 100 meters with a time of 12.46 and 8th in 300 meters with 41.76. Inés García was 7th in Javelin, achieving her personal best and in 100 meters she set a time of 17.19. Joan Cruanyes was 10th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.96.
Provincial Sub 14, Interprovincial Sub 16 and Autonomous Sub-20
On Saturday the Autonomous Sub 20. Ana González participated in it, who was proclaimed Champion in 3000 meters hurdles with a time of 14: 37.45.
At the same time, another sporting event was held in Ciudad Deportiva Camilo Cano de la Nucia, it was the Interprovincial Championship Sub 16, in which several athletes from Xàbia were summoned to represent the province of Alicante; without a doubt, a great experience to share with colleagues from other clubs in Alicante.
Carlos González was 3rd in 1500 hurdles and Pau Moncho 5th in 100 meters, contributing points for the men's team that got 2nd place.
In girls, Ainara Sapena did the 3k walk test, Celia Fornés 3000 meter dash, Laura Crespo was in the 4 x 300 relay team and Inés García did the extra 100 meter dash, all of them contributing points to also get 2nd place for the women's team.
And in the Sub 14 Provincial Championship that took place in Elda, the results could not have been better for the Llebeig athletes. Joan Buigues was proclaimed champion in 3000 meters dash with a time of 11: 28.81, Marco García was runner-up in 1000 meters dash with 2: 58.85, his personal best, Iván Gómez was proclaimed runner-up in length with 4.81 and 3rd in 80 meters smooth with a time of 11.30.
