The festivities of 2019 and neighbors of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell will distribute 120 blessed bread this Sunday

The Poble Nou de Benitatxell will kick off its traditional Fiestas de la Rosa 2019 this Saturday 4 May. The preparations are being finalized with the transfer to the Oratory of the 120 breads that will be adorned with roses and carried in baskets to the Church on Sunday, where they will be blessed.

The Commission and the 2019 Festeros, with the collaboration of the Department of Festivals, have developed an intense program of events focused on promoting the participation that will end on Sunday, 12 in May. Likewise, on Saturday, May 11, El Poble Nou de Benitatxell will live its popular disguises of San Pancrazio, one of the most deeply rooted celebrations in the municipality.

Programming Languages

The party will begin on Saturday, at the 18.30 in the Oratory with the colorful and fragrant floral offering to the Virgen de la Rosa. Children and adults will head to the Church to offer their bouquets and floral arrangements accompanied by the Band of Music and Colla Llebetjà.

The dances of the "Balladors" y "Balladores" from the Groupe de Danses Morro Falquí, with music from the dolçaina and the tabalet, will put the perfect finishing touch with the seal of the tradition. At night, there will be an orchestra in the Plaça de les Pesqueres.

The celebration of the religious acts in honor of the Virgen de la Rosa will continue on Sunday with the blessing and subsequent distribution throughout the town of 120 PANS beneits(blessed breads). A tradition of the most unique of the municipality in which the festeros participate, as well as children of the town who walk the streets with baskets of blessed loaves. Accompanied by the music band and Colla la Llebetjà, the delegation distributes the pieces of bread to the neighbors who wait for them in the portals with an empty plate.

In the afternoon, at 20.00 hours, there will be a solemn procession. At the end a fireworks castle will be fired and at night there will be music at the Casal Fester. The festivities will continue on Monday in La Pau street with children's activities, a giant paella and bulls in the street that will last until Friday.
