Several companies in Xàbia welcome students from the training program in auxiliary trade activities

May 26 from 2022 - 14: 36

The councilor of Creama and Economic Development of Xàbia, Marta Bañuls, has visited this morning the students who are carrying out the practices of the Training Program of Basic Qualification of Auxiliary Activities of Commerce. The mayor wanted to see how the students perform and thank the collaboration of these companies that have offered to collaborate with this training program, especially focused on young people who have dropped out of school and want to improve their skills to enter the labor market.

This year they have joined MP Irrigation, Jávea Garden Pool Service, Arcum, Gym, Stationery Bottle, Bricotop, Ferrobox or the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of the Historic Center of Xàbia.

The internship phase is the culmination of the program and a channel to apply all the professional skills learned during the first phase of the course. The programme, which has a grant of €39.854,40 from the Department of Education, consists of 960 hours. It started on September 20, 2021 and will end on June 17, 2022.

For Bañuls, this training is very important in improving the professional qualification of young people out of school (between 16 and 21 years of age) and a way to achieve their insertion in the world of work - almost half of those who completed this training last year today already have a permanent job- or their educational reinsertion, since some want to go back to study. In fact, tomorrow four students are going to appear in Alicante for a test of the Claus Competences of the LABORA.

Bañuls has advanced that Creama is already working on a new edition of this course and has encouraged young people who have abandoned their studies and are thinking of a
useful and practical training to enter the labor market.
