Benitatxell students can now apply for mobility aids from City Hall

El Town hall of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell wants to bet that students and their families have the necessary facilities to access higher education. The Department of Youth, in charge of Víctor Bisquert, has launched specific mobility aids for students, both university and master's degrees, as well as high school and intermediate and advanced training cycles. Likewise, students who do not use the bus transport already subsidized to the IES Teulada can also opt for the aid.

In total, 3.000 euros have been reserved for the granting of these grants, whose individual amount will be maximum 120 euros. This amount will be helpful for "Many families who have difficulties in coping with all the expenses of having a student child", said Bisquert, who stressed the importance of "Give the youth of our people, regardless of their economic situation, the possibility of carving a future."

To qualify for these scholarships it is necessary to be registered in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell for at least the year prior to the call and be under 30 years. In the case of high school students or middle and higher cycles, the indispensable requirement is and have been enrolled in the 2018 / 2019 course and have exceeded 50% of the subjects.

As for university students, they must be enrolled in Spanish centers valid throughout the national territory and have passed at least 35 credits. If it is the last year of studies, the minimum to be exceeded must be equal to the credits enrolled. Students may also opt for university education adapted to the European Higher Education Area leading to official degrees or university education leading to the obtaining of official degrees of Bachelor, Engineer, Architect, Diploma, Technical Engineer.

Finally, in the case of those who take a master's degree, the only requirement is to be enrolled and have achieved the accrediting degree.

Applications can be submitted until October 9 in the General Register of the City Council (Calle Mayor, 5) from Monday to Friday from 9: 00 to 14: 00 hours.
