The Oceanogràfic Foundation and the Javea Town Hall They have presented the new environmental awareness campaign that has the motto 'Posidònia és Xàbia' for which all the schoolchildren in the municipality have participated.
With the aim of raising awareness among citizens of the need to protect the Posidonia meadows and the seabed, this campaign, which is part of the 'Projecte Xàbia', was carried out, "thought about the involvement of the future, children", pointed out the director of Management Control at the Oceanogràfic and head of the Xàbia Project, Paco Torner, who added that "they (the children) bring a very different look."
Thus, the initiative was undertaken in each school obtaining a total of 650 drawings, of which 25 of them have been selected to form part of the advertising posters that will be installed, on the one hand, in different canopies or muppings of the xabiera locality. And, the campaign has three aspects: one physical with posters installed in advertising spaces on public roads, another online that will be developed through social networks and a third with informative content as a fold-out brochure.
Each drawing is inscribed with a conscientious and powerful message that has been contributed by each group of students, among which the following stand out: "The posidònia is a tresor per a tots", "Protegeix-la. És de tots", "Take care of the posidònia and take care of the sea. Do not fem that I do not become, the sea is not to blame", "If it is not there , tu tampoc "," If she and she donates life consider her the friend "," Vols futur ?, take care of the present "or" The position in life donates i nosaltres li l'arranquem ".
For its part, both the Councilor for Education, Montse Villaverdeand Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, have highlighted the great visual impact transmitted by each of the drawings. Chulvi has indicated that this action will be initially deployed during the summer months, when the activity at sea is more intense and therefore it is necessary to insist on the need to protect the posidonia and the rich marine biodiversity.
