El Department of Culture of the Javea Town Hall has modified the bases that mark the requirements to use the municipal exhibition halls and incorporated some incentives for artists in order to give new impetus to the activity in the municipality.
As explained by the responsible councilor, Quico Moragues, from now on the Consistory will finance a catalog of 16 pages to all those exhibiting in the municipal halls, in addition to advertising their samples with a specific poster. The administration also assumes the insurance of the exhibitions and eliminates the obligation to transfer a work to the municipal funds.
Another change is that the Soler Blasco Museum It will be reserved to give priority to new local artists, in order to support them to show their talents. This and the two art rooms, Casa del Cable and Lambert Arts Center, will see their lighting renewed following the advice of specialists to offer the best specific conditions to host exhibitions.
Moragues has also advanced that on the ground floor of the CA Lambert Two exhibitions by locally relevant authors such as Lambert and Segarra Llamas will be left permanently. The councilor has detailed that half a year a set of 37 works by the illustrator André Lambert Jordan and the architect André-Louis Lambert Perret will be exhibited and the other half a year a selection of the more than 100 works of Segarra Llamas owned by the city.
The head of Culture has explained that in all these modifications, Culture has had the support of experts, who will also be present when evaluating the exhibition projects. In fact, a prestigious jury has been formed composed of Vicente Chambó (Editor, curator and art critic), Salva Torres (Journalist and art critic of the newspaper El Mundo), and Juan Manuel Artigot (Cultural Manager, programmer and coordinator of exhibitions) that will be in charge of examining the proposals and, based on the interest of artistic values, will decide the exhibitions that will be exhibited during the 2020 season at the Casa del Cable and Ca Lambert.
The people or groups interested in exhibiting in the aforementioned rooms must submit a proposal for the artistic exhibition project that they intend to carry out in the House of Culture before the October 30.
