05 March 2020 - 15: 20

This Thursday, first thing in the morning, the fire alarm has sounded at the Santa María Magdalena school in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. Quickly, teachers and students have evacuated the building and have left the courtyard in an orderly manner. Today has been a drill, and they have all shown that they are well prepared for a real situation.

After sounding the alarm located in the kitchen, the protocol has been automatically activated in case of fire. Each teacher has organized their students in a row and they have calmly gone abroad. In addition, the last to leave has closed the classroom door. Within a few minutes, the Civil Protection volunteers and the Local Police have arrived at the center, who have verified that everything was in order inside the school.

“We have entered and all the doors were closed. You have done very well, because if there is a fire inside some class, if the door is closed it is much more difficult for the fire to spread to the rest of the school ”, congratulated the head of Civil Protection.

The evacuation has been carried out in three and a half minutes, something that the security body has cataloged from "Excellent".
