For a few days, the farmers of Xàbia were prepared, after giving up their machinery, selflessly, to the Town hall to collaborate in the disinfection of streets. So, today, the consistory has coordinated an extraordinary disinfection campaign with this collaboration.
In total, five tractors and a quad, work from 20 hours in different parts of the municipality, using their spray systems to disinfect streets of the Port, Arenal, town, Thiviers and Freginal as well as some points of the disseminated.
The Xàbia Local Police and Civil Protection volunteers, with individual protection equipment, are also collaborating in the replacement of tanks with disinfection products and in security tasks.
The City Council thanks the collaboration and willingness of the farmers to help from the first moment: Pere Cholbi, Juan Antonio Miñana, Moisés Bolufer, José Esteve and Kiko Caselles.

Agricultural machinery disinfecting the streets of Xàbia
Indeed, last night we saw the machine pass disinfecting Genoa street, only on one side, and the extension of Via Augusta, only on one side. Sidewalks, nothing. And on our Bari street, they didn't even pass. Although it is a short street, it is where the residents of the immediate urban areas pass to leave their garbage in the containers.
What happened, that when they got here they ran out of disinfectant?
