The Oceanographic Research Institute of Xàbia has completed the project to create a Marine Reserve of Fishing Interest. For this reason, the plan to promote the declaration of said reserve has already been sent to the Fisheries Secretariat of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
This project concludes with the end of the scientific study that the IROX has completed on the Roca dels Felius. "Science has to be transmitted to the whole of society, feeding our knowledge and our appreciation of the wealth we have," declares the Institut. With this, the group intends that knowledge reaches the entire population so that they become aware of the importance of the sea and the amount of resources it contributes to society. Only in this way can citizens understand the importance of protecting this part of nature.
