Bet Lady Elizabeth School by El Poble Nou de Benitatxell it continues to be translated into new investments in educational facilities. International School Partnerschip (ISP) and the Laude chain inaugurated yesterday the first phase of the expansion works of its school Lady Elisabeth that is located in the Cumbres del Sol urbanization of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. It's about the Primary building.
The mayor of Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Josep Femenia, and the government team attended the official ceremony to which fathers and mothers were also invited. The work has more than fulfilled the deadlines announced by the international educational center of the Marina Alta.
In total, the investment amounts to 15 million euros, so that Puig Llorença facilities can offer the entire school journey from Primary to Secondary, which in English are Primary and Secondary School.
Expansion in Primary
This first building will allow the expansion of the Primary education facilities, with a block built next to the current facilities in such a way that it complements and is connected to them. It will be for the students of 4º and 5º of Primary.
The work progresses at a good pace in the other part of the land with the execution of the project of the part for Secundary. This building, which according to the terms offered by ISP and Laude will be ready for the next course, will have 20 large classrooms, other 10 smaller classrooms for Baccalaureate, as well as a common room, 2 support classrooms, 4 science laboratories, 1 of science for food, 1 classroom of art, 2 classrooms of music, 2 classrooms auxiliary of music, 3 classrooms of computer science, 1 library; auditorium for 640 people, heated pool, soccer field and 2 basketball courts.
Facilities open to public use
Laude School has been receptive to the demands of the town hall so that the sports facilities and the auditorium of the future international secondary school are open to public use. Also to give priority to the hiring of workers from El Poble Nou de Benitatxell for maintenance services and caretakers of the new center.
The educational project will be an international benchmark and will place the municipality on the map, as well as revalue the territory and expand the educational and sports offer of the residents of the municipality. Currently there are agreements between the center and the Department of Education, by Myra van 't Hoff, to promote English learning of schoolchildren.
Currently, children enrolled in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell enjoy a discount of 20% in the intensive English courses taught with their native teachers.
