The "Xàbia Gastronomic" routes are presented as a novelty in Tourism offers

The Department of Tourism Town hall de Jávea has been offering a wide variety of themed routes so that visitors and tourists get to know the municipality better: dramatized routes, guided tours, hiking routes and family gymkhanas. Antonio Miragall, mayor of Tourism, has presented today the new route that will be incorporated into the existing ones: "Xàbia Gastronómica".

In this curious and appetizing route, the history of Jávea will be known through its recipes, food and condiments from the pantries. The route will consist of a walk through the Historic Center, a visit to some of the rooms of the Soler Blasco Museum and it will end at the Municipal Market where local products such as sausages and fish salted will be tasted. "Xàbia Gastronímica" is organized by the Marfull Cultural Association and the routes will be held on May 17, July 5 and August 13 and will last between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours.

Santi Inocencio, of Marfull explains that the aim of this new event is to know how Mediterranean cuisine and is built specifically Jávea kitchen. It will show how the Mediterranean cuisine is the set of dishes and cuisines that come from those whose territories border the Mediterranean. And all the cultures that settled in the area as the Iberians, Romans and Arabs. Hiking with added value

During the presentation of the new route have also shown the new added value to be given to the hiking trails (hiking plus). Tere Bou biologist, guide these routes, has indicated that the goal is to go walking understanding the landscape and vegetation so the particularities of each area will be highlighted. Thus the biodiversity of the flora, fauna, history and culture of Jávea is highlighted. The biologist has also shown that Javea is the place with the greatest biodiversity in Spain, after Sierra Nevada, with more than 1.000 different species of flora.
