The beaches of Xàbia only have 3 informants out of the 24 that had to provide service

03 July 2020 - 13: 42

Last Monday, 1000 young people between 18 and 30 years old, hired by the Valencian Generalitat, began as beach assistants throughout the Community with the aim of informing bathers of the measures to follow in the face of the coronavirus pandemic and thus avoiding their spread.

In the province of Alicante, 418 auxiliaries corresponded, of which about 24, as indicated in the call, would report on the coast of Xàbia, but today, 4 days after the date of incorporation, only 3. At Apparently, as this newsroom has learned, the rest of the missing informants have resigned from the position, but for the moment they have not been replaced.

From the Generalitat they indicated that of all the requests received, after selecting the 1000, 250 people were left on the waiting list for this type of situation, but until now, it is unknown when they joined.

Likewise, the three people who are currently providing service in Xàbia only do it between one and two beaches, so the rest of the coves and beaches remain without informants in these first days of arrival of tourism.
