The Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) has published the amendment to the decree to grant direct aid to working people who have taken advantage of the reduction in working hours (by 50% or more) to care for family members as a direct consequence of the COVID-19 with the objective of compensating for the decrease in income.
The period to apply for aid began on May 14 and will end on June 8. Applications may be submitted through any official registry, and electronically on the website of Works with electronic certificate.
The Ministry of Sustainable Economy, through Labora, has proposed this modification after being aware of the number of potential people benefiting from the subsidy, as well as having verified the existence of necessary and sufficient credit to remove certain requirements that significantly decreased the total number of possible final recipients.
Thus, among the requirements to be able to apply for the aid, the Consell has relaxed the criterion of permanence in the situation of reduced hours, requiring only to maintain it for a month, and has eliminated the obligation not to exceed the 22.000 euros tax base in the Personal Income Tax corresponding to 2018.
In this way, the requirements to apply for the aid are the following:
a) To be registered in the General Social Security Regime.
b) Have taken advantage of the reduction in working hours during the period of the alarm state in a percentage equal to or greater than 50%, and maintain this reduction for at least one month.
c) Have the fiscal domicile in the Valencian Community.
The amount of the aid will be 600 euros if the reduction in working hours is between 81% and 100%; 450 euros if the reduction is between 60% and 80%, and 300 euros if the reduction is between 50% and 60% of the day. In total, Labora earmarks € 3 million in aid.
