The works of reform of the Juan Carlos I Avenue will begin next week

May 29 from 2020 - 13: 35

El Javea Town Hall has reported that next week the sidewalk reform works and provision of service networks for the section of Avenida Juan Carlos I between numbers 65 and 75 will begin.

The project will be executed by the local company Excavaciones Mayte and involves a municipal investment of 119.900 euros. It includes the renewal of the drinking water pipes, the installation of new LED lighting, the planting of trees, the installation of the natural gas and telephone lines, and the construction of sidewalks.

The urban intervention in Juan Carlos I avenue comes after years of administrative work and expropriations in order to incorporate the land into the municipal heritage. The urban situation of this road, which connects the Historic Center with Thiviers and Duanes, is very complex, with sections of sidewalk -which although they have public use- are owned by individuals or neighboring communities.

The improvement of these sidewalks has been a historical demand.

How curious that just when they have begun works to make new houses, right now, they also "decide" to do the works that give access to those new houses. Very curious ... And I wonder, who is behind this private investment?
