The new cameras installed on the road to Plà count the influx of vehicles on this road

11 July 2019 - 11: 32

For a few days, in a section of the Carretera Cabo la Nao-Plà, cameras are installed on the light poles of this road. As you may have known Xàbia.com by official sources, these cameras are not radars as speculated by people and are announcing by social networks but traffic jams.

These new cameras are part of a study that is being conducted to know the number of vehicles or pedestrians that circulate at a specific point of the road, in this case, in this section of Avenida del Plà.

The data provided by these traffic gauges (circulation of annual, monthly or daily vehicle numbers as well as time information of the moments in which traffic delays or spikes occur, speed, etc.) facilitate the decision to take measures on on this road.
