'The Thousand and One Night' of the Filà Capitana 2019, Almoradins, dazzles through the streets of Xàbia

The fifth captaincy of the Filà Almoradins last night Festivities of Moors and Christians of Xàbia with a spectacular pageantry inspired by 'The Thousand and One Night'. Emilio Bañuls, 2019 Moorish captain, wore from the top of a camel during the gala parade.

The page of the Filà Capitana was composed of four blocks in which he told the well-known story of 'The Thousand and One Night' in which the Arab reign enriched the Vila de Xàbia. During the course of the pageantry, which lasted about 50 minutes, the different episodes of the celebration of the Muslim conquest could be observed.

The Filà Almoradins opened its moment of parade with a great Book that announced its current captaincy and showed the atmosphere of the Arab period with the well-known Souk and the ballet of Carmen Villanueva.

In a second block was represented the entrance to the palace with the deployment of a red carpet personalized with the coat of the Filà that gave way to the concubines of the Captain and the first of the official squads of Almoradins.

Behind them, two large arabesque arches announced the arrival of the highest position in this Captaincy 2019, its Moorish captain, Emilio Bañuls and the special mixed squad captained Marta Bañuls.

The great pageantry closed with the army of the captain where the traditional cannon of the Filà, the camels and the squadron Almoradins with Mar Martín Villalba as corporal of squadron did not lack.
