The new update of data on the evolution of the coronavirus situation by municipalities facilitated by the Ministry of Health shows a slight decrease in the number of new infections.
In the Dénia Health Department, on which the entire Marina Alta region depends, a total of 13 positive cases have been registered compared to 22 in the last update, which amounts to 9.876 the total number of infections in the region since the pandemic started. Of these, 60 are still active, which places the accumulated incidence at 35,16 infections per 100.000 inhabitants, 10 points above the average marked as normal.
On the other hand, the bitter note of this new update is the death toll which has been registered by a new victim, a neighbor of Pedreguer, and there are already 202 deaths due to the coronavirus in the Marina Alta.
In the case of Xàbia, it is one of the municipalities that this day have not added any contagion, which reduces the accumulated incidence to 42,83 cases per 100.000 inhabitants. Currently, this town has 1.456 positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 12 remain active.
