Long line to get, as a last chance, a glass bottle with the image of Xàbia

This morning, the municipal water company of Jávea, Amjasa, has distributed around 1000 glass bottles in the Plaza de la Constitución. Last appointment of this initiative that is part of the progrifo campaign, which began last week with the distribution of bottles in the Port area, followed in the Arenal and today Friday in the historic center.

Employees of Amjasa, councilors and the manager himself attended the belts of people who have come to pick up their bottle and transmitted the main objective of the campaign Més Aixeta, menys plàstic with which it is intended to encourage the use of tap water and reduce plastic waste.

The citizens obtained a glass bottle in exchange for three plastic containers. According to José Luís Henarejos, "Amjasa is also working on carrying out other initiatives such as the placement of fountains in public buildings such as the new Town hall, Red Cross, Fishermen's Guild".

Henarejos stressed that they are open to any Association that demands it, "We are also working on the implementation of two initiatives aimed at the school public with the edition of some canteens and contact the ARX to distribute in the restaurants some glass jars that serve to offer the water to customers."
