This next Friday 25 of January, in the conference room of the museum, at 20 hours, the Department of Culture de Xàbia will present the second issue of the cultural publication, Quaderns del Museu, a publication that was resumed last year to disseminate studies on history and local heritage to make them accessible to the general public.
On this occasion, as indicated by the Councilor for Culture, Quico Moragues, "It will again be a monographic number, this time, dedicated to the modern era, which covers from the sixteenth to the early nineteenth century". The author is Antoni Grau Escrihuela, doctor in geography and history from the Universitat de València.
Grau brings a portrait of the Xàbia of the time, with its social and economic complexities, characterized by the seigneurial domain and values very different from the current ones.
The presentation ceremony will have the presence of the author, the director of the Museum, the archaeologist Ximo Bolufer and the
Councilor for Culture, Quico Moragues.
The publication of this year's volume is in Valencian, so it has a grant from the Valencian Academy of Language. In its online version, which will be posted on the municipal website www.ajxabia.org, it will also be available in Spanish and English thanks to the translations made by the Amics del Museu Association. Culture will put on sale this publication at a price of 11 euros.
