The COVID-19 vaccination teams of the Conselleria de Sanidad Universal y Salud Pública are going to administer a total of 306.092 doses of the four authorized coronavirus vaccines this week. Specifically, 242.123 doses of the vaccine from Pfizer, 39.014 from Moderna, 10.190 from AstraZeneca and 14.765 single-dose doses from Janssen have been distributed to the Health Departments.

Vaccines from the Pfizer laboratory are going to be used mainly for people between 40 and 59 years of age (228.103 doses have been reserved for first and second inoculations in this age group to be administered in health centers and mass vaccination spaces). In addition, another 3.786 doses have been distributed for vaccination, in companies, of workers of the same age group. The rest will go to people who belong to groups.

As for the 39.014 doses of Moderna's vaccine, most of them (38.700) are intended for people between the ages of 59 and 40, that is, born between 1962 and 1981.

For its part, 9.580 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be used to complete the optimal immunization schedule for people under 60 years of age.

Ultimately, 14.765 people between the ages of 40 and 59 will receive the single dose of Janssen's vaccine.

Councilor Ana Barceló has indicated that the vaccine "places us before a hopeful horizon", and has remarked that "we have to continue to keep the virus at bay with the vaccination rate that we have in the Valencian Community and without forgetting that the pandemic is still here ".
