The Department of Sports of Xàbia organizes the swim crossing for another year, a swimming comxicotetion in open waters through the bay of the municipality. It will be on Sunday, July 3 in the morning.
councilman Alberto Tur He has detailed that there will be three tests with affordable distances for each swimmer profile, so that the participants can choose based on their level or objectives. From 3.000 meters for those who dare with the hardest modality (starting from the Arenal Beach and arrival at La Grava) at 1.500 meters that join the first Montañar with La Grava or one more focused on beginners that runs entirely through La Grava and will have a distance of 500 meters.
Tur added that the participants will have supplies and a souvenir gift. Also that the Town hall will provide them with a bus to move from the finish line, in the port, to the point where they have started the comxicotetion.
The councilor has encouraged all swimming fans to participate in this journey, thus enjoying the sea as a space for sports and a friendly bay such as Xàbia and on dates when the temperature of the Mediterranean is more than pleasant.
The comxicotetion will count as usual with the collaboration of different sports clubs in Xàbia to guarantee safety, such as the Excursionist Center, the Padel Surf Club, the Clu de Atletisme Llebeig, the Nautical Club or the Rowing Club. Also with preventive groups such as the Red Cross and entities such as Marina Nou Fontana.
