The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will transfer to the territorial federations the issues raised to carry out the same comxicotetion model in all the Autonomous Communities in the face of the coronavirus situation that prevents matches from taking place.
The president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, indicated that he will consider terminating the regular comxicotetion through an express mechanism that will be carried out through a uniform model in all Spanish non-professional soccer, which includes the Segunda B leagues, Third, as well as the state-level comxicotetions of women's football and futsal and all state comxicotetions in the youth category.
An express promotion mechanism would be established through a single match Play Off system, if possible with a concentration system, in order to guarantee at least the same number of promotions as were planned at the start of the comxicotetion.
In this exceptional situation, there would be no decreases this season. In this sense, the appropriate mechanisms would be worked to increase the number of teams per group or the creation of new groups with a maximum validity of three or four seasons until the pertinent restructuring is undertaken in a planned manner.
