Mayor, José Chulvi, today received the Brotherhood of Ladies of Jesus Nazarene who, as is tradition, have given him the program of liturgical acts that accompany the procession of descent of Jesus Nazarene and specified the last details of the organization of this religious act.
La 'Descent' It will take place next Sunday, March 15, coinciding with the third Sunday of Lent. The procession, in which the image of Jesús Nazareno is moved from the Calvary Chapel to Church of St. BartholomewIt will be at 19:00 p.m. Previously, at 18:30 p.m., the procession made up of the parish clergy and local authorities will leave from the church square on the way to Calvary.
The events will continue on Monday, March 16, at 12 noon, with a solemn mass sung in honor of Jesus Nazarene and that same day will begin the novena. The image of Jesus Nazarene will remain in the Church of San Bartolomé until May 3.
