According to a statement issued by the Archbishopric of Valencia, the celebration of First Communion and Confirmation, scheduled for the months of May, June and July, are postponed to the months of September and October due to the health crisis due to the coronavirus.
As agreed by the parish priests and catechists of the Parishes of Xàbia, the communions will be on 20, 27 September and 4 October. These shifts will be by order, therefore, the boys and girls of the first shift will celebrate their First Communion on September 20, those of the second on September 27 and those of the third on October 4.
It should be borne in mind that these dates are confirmed pending the latest decision of the government and health authorities, since as they have indicated from the Archbishopric, it is subject to their guidelines, as the pandemic evolves and on the possibility of meeting of many people together during the months of September and October.
For the moment, the Church confirms the postponement of the celebration of these sacraments, to the indicated days, although in July they will attend to the measures and recommendations of the authorities in case it is necessary to modify them again.
