The Local Police of Xàbia announces that they will host PACTESUR in 2022 after attending the European security workshop in Turin

Last week, Turin, Italy, hosted the Local Governance Workshop to which the Local Police of Xàbia attended and actively participated. Specifically, agents Fernando Gaona and Paqui Castell were chosen to attend this convention.

In this way, they were able to share with the rest of the European police officers and with experts from various disciplines the various formations and training that are part of the European project PACTESUR (Protect Allied Cities against Terrorism in Securing Urban Areas). Xàbia is part of this project sponsored by the European Union together with Nice (France) Gadansk (Poland), Liege (Belgium) Leeds (United Kingdom) among others.

For his part, the Chief Intendant, José Antonio Monfort, has attended the Local Governance workshop for the protection of public space. This is a police and security forum in which various tools for the protection of public events have been studied and debated.

From the police headquarters they advance that next year, Xàbia will host the last annual meeting of this project that will end in 2022, thus becoming for a few days the epicenter of security strategies and the analysis and discussions of experts in the field.
