The Portal del Clot square is the place chosen by the Town hall of Jávea to install a Skatepark, that is, a set of ramps and approved elements to practice skate, bmx and scooter, sports that are gaining more and more prominence among the young people of Jávea. This installation, which was born from the idea of the Consell dels Xiquets, will cost around 14.000 euros and will be co-financed by the youth and citizen participation departments.
The skatepark will be inaugurated on Saturday January 11 afternoon in a ceremony are invited all members of the Consell dels Xiquets as pioneers of this initiative and who will also attend the mayor of YouthTere Bisquert, the mayor of Citizen Participation, Cesc Camprubi and the mayor of the municipality, José Chulvi. During the event, in which young people will be the real protagonists there will be exhibitions of the different sports that can be practiced there, gifts and surprises for all those who attend the inauguration of this skatepark that although it has been open since this Christmas, this afternoon It will be officially inaugurated.
Jávea Town Council wanted to put some standards in this public facility so, first to ensure good relations with neighbors of place in winter may use the facilities until 21: 00 h. In addition there are also other rules such as banning balls or other toys since the skatepark only you can use the skate, BMX and scooter. The minimum age to use the facilities is to 8 years and ramps can not be used to slide slide mode, you also need to wear a helmet and other protective measures such as knee pads or elbow pads.
