One more year, the first solidarity event of the year will take place in the Arenal Beach from Xàbia. The owners of the Lancashire Bruja bar have organized the solidarity bath on January 1 with which they will collect funds for social causes.
This year the collection will go to Red Cross Xàbia and people with Alzheimer's or dementia. The dip will be at 13:00 p.m. and, as the organizers point out, bathers have to endure at least 10 minutes in the water.
All people who want to participate can meet at the Christmas tree on the promenade David Ferrer at 12:30 p.m., preferably in costume. The "elves" will be in charge of passing the piggy bank for social causes.
With more than 25 years since its inception, this New Year's bath is already a tradition in Xàbia and every year it has more participants.
