The couple formed by Quique Luján del Club Náutico Jávea and Antonio Torrado, of the Real Club Naútico Torrevieja, occupied the twenty-first position in the Junior World Championship of the 49er Class. A test that was held in the French waters of Marseille.

The Spanish couple is preparing their participation in an Olympic event in the medium term and as part of that preparation, the two sailors participated this weekend in the youth world class 49, along with other couples 52. They were the second Spanish pair in the general classification.

A second place your best position

During the three days, Luján and Torrado played a total of 9 mangas, in one of them they were second, another two in seventh position and another in ninth. A sample that the couple is already penetrating and the value of the two sailors translates into partial results. These good results boosted them to the gold group. However, on the last day the strong gusts of wind were not the best companions for the Spanish duo and they were damaged in the classification.

Luján and Torrado form the technical project of the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community together with the two clubs and the support, among others, of Fermax and the FER project, in order to reach an Olympic event in the medium term.
