Next Saturday, April 10, the Valencia Chamber Orchestra returns to the stage after the stoppage caused by the health crisis. And it does so under the baton of its principal conductor Pere Molina and with an exquisite repertoire composed of the well-known oratorio Stabat Mater by GB Pergolesi and Salve Regina by Alenssandro Scarlatti.

The orchestra will feature the soprano Teresa Albero and the mezzo-soprano Yuliia Safonova as soloists, and with the accompaniment of Sílvia Ferrer on the organ.

The concert is scheduled on Saturday, at 20:30 p.m., at the St. Bartholomew's Church. Admission is free but capacity is limited to sanitary circumstances, so it is advisable to reserve a place by calling Department of Culture (965794344) as of Tuesday, April 5.

The concert in Xàbia is very special for the OCV as it is the first since the pandemic and with which the year in which it celebrates its tenth anniversary begins. Ten years of commitment, rigor and love for art.

In the words of its director, Pere Molina, this period of reflection has allowed them to work on a new repertoire and adapt to the formats that, due to COVID-19, are now necessary. Molina, likewise, wanted to greatly thank municipalities such as Xàbia for continuing to program culture and its commitment to
Valencia Chamber Orchestra.

With an important trajectory, the OCV has worked with great soloists and a repertoire that ranges from zarzuela or opera to symphonic repertoire, without neglecting the oratorio. The orchestra is part of the Circuit de la Generalitat and with its itinerant concerts it offers the possibility of getting closer to the sound universe in those places where it is more difficult to listen to orchestral groups.

In this sense, its director affirms that the OCV "It has the duty to reach out to the public of all those cities and towns, ensuring that high-quality programs arrive in a very affordable and affordable format, both for artistic, economic, health and social reasons."
