Xàbia will install information tables on World Mental Health Day

On the occasion of the celebration of World Mental Health Day, the October 10, l 'Ajuntament de Xàbia will install an information table at the local weekly market. WHO bets this year for suicide prevention

The 2019 campaign of the World Health Organization -OMS- for World Mental Health Day is focused this year on suicide prevention. According to the international organization, every 40 seconds a person commits suicide in the world and about 800.000 die from this cause. So the motto of this edition is "40 seconds to act."

Recently, the Department of Universal Health and Public Health has also launched a suicide prevention campaign that highlights the importance of breaking the silence, since the figures are alarming, with one case a day in the Valencian Community.
