The gastronomic tour returns through the port of Xàbia with the 7ª edition of La Mar de Tapas. From the 12 to the 14 of October, taking advantage of the El Pilar Bridge, Customs presents its wide gastronomic offer taking to the street the best dishes and flavors of the bay.
The Sea of Tapas will begin at 12 hours on Friday 12 in October and merchants will offer their entire offer to attendees. In particular, 22 restaurants participate, which is the 90% of the stores.
The president of the Xàbia Port Association, Cande Ros, announced that, in addition, together with this event, "At the top level the category goes up, there will be the craft fair, there will be games for children and live music through several points of the port".
In this edition, the commercial premises will not close at noon "and they will benefit from the people who go down to the port, we want people to come, not only to eat, but also to buy in the establishments"Ros said.
For its part, the mayor, José Chulvi, thanked the effort made by the Association and the council to offer the best product with great quality and to close, in the best way, the summer season; "since commerce and hospitality revitalize and give life to the Customs district, and it is a way to value the proximity trade with a very diverse gastronomic offer that goes from the simplest to the most elaborate"Said Chulvi.
Each store will have a three meter counter where it will offer the advertised cover and one more with the characteristic that all have to have the fish or shellfish as the main base. The price of the cover will be 1,80 euros and the 1,50 drink euros.
The 22 participating restaurants are Ca María, Calima, La Trattoría, Piri-Piri, La Bodeguilla, Bollard, Varadero, La Esquina, El Clavo, Napoli, Cande, L'Almadrava, Posit, Andares Ibericos, A La Deriva, As Is, Duplex, Sotavent, Marítimo, La Mona, Margón, and Café D'Art.
