The rain has given a respite and has allowed the first day of the offering of flowers to San Juan to take place as planned. And it is that, just minutes before the start of the act, the raindrops have surprised those who were already concentrating on the starting point or were going to it.
Looking up at the sky, the fifths of 2020 and 2021 and the participants of the fifth anniversary have started the tour from the Thiviers neighborhood. The heat was present during the parade and it seemed that the day was going to start normally. However, two thirty after the start, the rain has returned to manifest itself. Only the entrance of the Queen of 2020, Marta Ortuño, to the Plaza del Town hall when it has started to spark again.
The drops have been increasing in intensity while the act continued, allowing the first day of Flower Offering to end normally. Of course, minutes later, the strongest lightning and rain have taken, for a few minutes, the streets of Xàbia.
First day of offering
Unlike other years of festivities, in this special Fogueres Xàbia 2022, two days of offering are scheduled to be able to distribute, without large crowds, the great participation of people. On this first day, the Quintà 2020, the Quintà 2021, the town in general, and the anniversary fifths 2020 and 2021 have participated.
Although the fifths have gone between the anniversary groups, both queens together, Marta Ortuño (Regina 2020) and Nara Rodríguez (Regina 2021), have been the ones who have closed the parade.
For tomorrow, Wednesday, it is planned that the Quintà of 2022, clubs, festive commissions, fifth anniversary 2022, Youth Commission and Children's Court of Honor will participate in the second day of offering.
