The JQCV will convene tests of all levels of Valencian

24 March 2021 - 17: 22

The Plenary of the Valencià Coneixements Qualifying Board (JQCV) has approved today the ordinary call for this 2021 of the Valencian knowledge tests at all levels, which will be held in 24 different venues. On June 12, 19 and 26, the A2, B1 and C1 tests and specific languages will be held; and on November 6, 13 and 20 those of B2 and C2.

The offer includes 14.000 places for the C1 Valencian tests, 3.000 more than last year; and 11.000 of C2, a level for which no tests were called in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Registration will be telematic on the JQCV website and will be open 24 hours a day for seven days: from April 8 to 15 for the June tests; and from September 1 to 7 for November. In both periods, registration will open at 10:00 am on the first day and will close at 10:00 am on the last day.

The main novelty of this year is that for the first time the places will be awarded by lottery among all registered people regardless of the day and time in which they have made the registration. With this measure, it is intended to promote equal opportunities among all applicants in view of the limitation of the volume of places that requires compliance with the security measures due to COVID-19.

In this sense, the general director of Language Policy and Management of Multilingualism, Rubén Trenzano, highlights that the draw will add "Peace of mind when registering for the test, since all interested people will have seven days to do so without the pressure of trying to be the first due to the concern of not having a place".

Distribution of C1 and C2 places by region

The 14.000 places offered by C1, 27% more than last year, will be distributed as follows: in the regions of Alicante, 3.300 places will be summoned in 8 locations, 400 of them in Dénia and the rest, Alicante (800 ), Alcoy (400), Benidorm (300), Elda (300), Elche (500), Orihuela (300) and Villena (300).

In the case of the regions of Castellón, the offer is 8.300 places in 5 locations and in the regions of Valencia there are 7.200 places spread over 11 locations.

Regarding the 11.000 places in C2, a level that was not announced in 2020, the distribution by region is 2.550 places in 8 locations in the regions of Alicante: Alicante (700), Alcoy (300), Benidorm (150) , Dénia (300), Elda (200), Elche (500), Orihuela (200) and Villena (200).

Another 1.700 places are offered in the 5 locations in the Castellón regions and the 11 locations in the Valencia regions add up to 6.750 places.

Dynamics of enrollment in tests

In the online registration, a number will be randomly awarded to each participant. Registration will be limited to one level for each person over 16 years of age and the number is non-transferable, since it is linked to their DNI or NIE. That is, an applicant who wants to take the C1 exam will only be able to enroll in one of the 24 venues and so on for the rest of the levels. As only one registration is allowed for each DNI or NIE, interested persons can register at any level, without having to have the previous certificate they choose.

When completing the online pre-registration form, a receipt will be generated that will contain the applicant's data, the level and the selected location and a lottery number. The pre-registration will not be considered valid, if the receipt with the number of the draw has not been generated.

Once the registration is concluded, among all the registrations made, it will be determined, by means of a random computerized draw and through an algorithm, from which number the registration has to be formalized according to the capacity of the headquarters and the level of the chosen test.

Applicants will be able to check on April 22 if they have obtained a place in the locality and level they have selected in the pre-registration of A2, B1 and C1 and specific languages. In the case of levels B2 and C2, scheduled for the month of November, the dates of publication of the draw results will be made public on the JQCV website.

The deadline for enrollment and payment of the fee for levels A2, B1, C1 and specific languages is from April 28 to May 5, both included. The deadline for enrollment and payment of the fee for levels B2 and C2 will be published on the JQCV website.

The registration process and the payment of the fee, which will only be available to applicants who have obtained a place in the draw, will also be carried out electronically through the JQCV website and can be done with or without an electronic signature.

All the tests have a contingency plan in which the safety and prevention measures determined by both the Department of Universal Health and Public Health and the Valencian Institute of Safety and Health at Work (Invassat) will be deployed. This plan, which will be updated according to health indications, will be published on the JQCV website, which will provide all the information so that applicants for the test know the prevention measures they must take before and during the exams .

To guarantee the safety of all the people participating in the test, organizational access control devices will be established to avoid crowds and guarantee the interpersonal safety distance of 1,5 meters and take the temperature before entry.
