The Parador de Turismo de Xàbia will be the headquarters of the IV Tournament Sub 2200 Villa de Xàbia which will take place on March 17, 18 and 19 days.
Francisco Morató, tournament director, highlighted the technical issues, indicating that each player is federated and will play seven games. No participant can have the mobile phone on the table.
This sporting event is already consolidated and is valid in the Champions Cup as well as serving to score in the national and international ranking. That is why the participation will oscillate between the 80 and 100 players. The organization has raised many details to make players feel at home and has organized a small night tournament for those who are left wanting more after playing their official games.
The president of the Club d'Escacs, Enrique Cervera, has said that this tournament "It is a good claim for Xàbia, the Parador is the perfect place for games to be played and players will enjoy good views and have lots of light."
It is a special tournament since it is endowed with 2.000 euros. The followers of the games may do so in silence respecting the privacy of the participants.
Mayor, José Chulvi, thanked the club for the effort to organize the tournament and show a part of Xàbia to the chess players. Chulvi commented that "Our municipality is alive with a lot of sports activity".
