The image of Jesus Nazareno returns to the Ermita del Calvario

Neighbors of Xàbia accompanied, on Thursday night, the image of Jesús Nazareno, in procession to the Calvary Chapel. The traditional ascent of the Nazarene brought together hundreds of parishioners, devotees of Jesús Nazareno and neighbors who participated in the tour from the exit of the Church of St. Bartholomew passing through the streets of Xàbia Histórica arriving at Calvario.

One of the emotional moments of the procession was the passage of the image through Jesus Nazarene Street and reverence before the niche. The arrival of the image to the Hermitage and its entrance was another of the episodes acclaimed with a strong and intense applause of all the attendees.

The parish priest of the Church of San Bartolomé, Salvador Torrens, highlighted in his words the beautiful pictures lived during the procession, "See how a father presents the image of Jesus to his son or how people cry when they see him pass, are moments of faith that this act has given".

The end of the festivities came with the firing of a fireworks castle from the Plaza de la Constitución.
